We helped create a free online video conferencing tool for churches to use, and we have it hosted at Below you will find some simple instructions on how to use this simple program.

Why use it?

  1. It is FREE!
  2. It runs from most web browsers with no software to install.
  3. Free Jitsi Meet Android app [optional]
  4. Free Jitsi Meet iOS app [optional]

Desktop Setup

Connect to your devices

Any video conferencing site will need to connect to your camera and your microphone. You should only have to do this one time if you keep using the same browser.

Click on the gear icon ⚙ at the top right of the screen.

The browser will ask for permission to use your camera and microphone—please say yes!

If you have more than one camera, mic or speaker, you can select your preferred devices from the drop-down menus. If you have the correct camera selected, you should see your video preview in the window. If you have the corerect microphone selected, you will see the mic volume bar moving.  If you click "test speakers" and hear a ringing noise, then your speakers are all set.

Update your profile

Your profile allows you to set your name and email for all future conferences. It only takes a second and will save you time in the future.

Click on the gear icon ⚙ at the top right of the screen and then select the profile tab.

Enter a unique room name

The more unique it is the better! This is going to be a part of the URL link that you will share with others.

Enter a name with no spaces (or use the randomly generated one) then click "GO."

You will be taken into your virtual meeting room where you can copy the link for your meting, set a password if desired, and wait for others to join!

REuse your room

You can make as many rooms as you want. However, if you meet each week and the room is still in your list, you can simply click on the room list and enter that same room again, and again, and again.
