A Letter From The Deacons

A proposal was brought up at the business meeting in January to pave the parking lot in front of the church building.

This paving would encompass the main parking lot, the short road at the far end of the parking lot, and a small parking area towards the back of the property (see picture below).

The benefits of paving the parking lot include reduced annual maintenance on the current gravel lot, easier snow clearing, and a more professional appearance for the church building.

The quote that was received was $29,000.  To not completely deplete the church’s savings account, the Deacons have agreed upon taking $22,000 from savings to earmark for this project.  What we are asking is if the church body feels that we should pave the parking lot, for additional giving for this special project.  Donations can be placed in the church giving box or online with a note for paving.
